Design Engineer based in Staffordshire (hybrid, two days on site), you’ll guide concepts into robust, manufacturable products for a well‑known UK brand. Expect supplier exposure, meaningful ownership, and travel when it counts. Salary below, plus hybrid working and genuine progression.

As a Senior
Design Engineer
, you’ll add technical judgement early, then own delivery through manufacture. You’ll work with industrial design, suppliers, and stakeholders to reduce risk and move faster.

• Develop products from concept to manufacture.
• Assess feasibility, trade‑offs, risk, and delivery routes.
• Produce CAD, drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Apply DFM across plastics, metals, and assemblies.
• Engage UK and international suppliers through sampling and pre‑production.

• Proven Senior
  Design Engineer
  , Product Design Engineer
  , or Mechanical Design Engineer on physical consumer products.
• End‑to‑end NPD, from early concept to release.
• Strong DFM judgement, cost/quality trade‑offs, supplier collaboration.
• Communicate trade‑offs clearly to non‑engineers.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and field insight when useful.

• Hybrid working: minimum two days per week in Tamworth.
• UK and international supplier travel when needed.
• Chance to shape engineering process and early decision‑making.
