About the Role
As an Associate Functional Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating next-generation System-on-Chip (SoC) designs built with high-performance ARM processors. This role spans both pre-silicon validation using FPGA/emulation platforms and post-silicon validation on actual hardware, ensuring robust functionality across high-speed and low-speed interfaces.
This role involves validating next-generation System-on-Chip (SoC) designs built with high-performance ARM processors, covering both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute bare-metal C tests on FPGA HAPS / Zebu emulation platforms.
- Validate SoC functionality across interfaces such as LPDDR, Ethernet, PCIe, HBM, CPUs, UART, I2C, I3C, SPI, and coherent mesh interconnects.
- Collaborate with architects and RTL verification teams to identify and resolve design issues early.
- Perform Functional bring-up of SoC interfaces on silicon-based target hardware.
- Debug and analyze failures, ensuring compliance with high-speed protocols (PCIe Gen6, LPDDR5, HBM3, die-to-die links).
- Work closely with electrical testing and characterization teams to validate performance and reliability.
Infrastructure Development
- Build and maintain test infrastructure for validation workflows.
- Automate test execution and reporting using scripting languages (Python preferred).
- Partner with production firmware teams for seamless integration.
- Provide feedback to design and architecture teams to improve SoC robustness.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed protocols (PCIe Gen6, LPDDR5, HBM3, die-to-die links).
- Knowledge of ARM high-end CPUs and ARM cache coherent interconnect protocols.
- Proven experience in validation on pre-silicon (FPGA/emulation) and post-silicon platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Python - for automation and infrastructure development.
- Experience in Silicon SoC bring-up.
- Familiarity with high-speed interface device drivers.
