£54,000 + Overtime + 5% Bonus

Due to succession plans within the automation team, we are looking for a driven & enthusiastic individual that wants to train & develop themselves.

• Responsible for maintaining, repairing and rectifying faults on all site electrical & electronic controls systems – PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Network Systems, Servo Systems
• Electrical fault finding, modifications, basic programming on PLCs
• Work closely with shift engineering team on rectifying major PLC/electrical issues
• Electrical installation, commissioning, upgrades on control panels, testing & inspections
• Project work – design & development of obsolete motion control systems, PLCs, network systems
• Design & modifications of existing electrical systems

• At least 5 years experience in controls / automation
• PLC – electrical fault finding & diagnostics
• Electrical installation, commissioning, testing & inspection
• Completed a time-served apprenticeship – Level 3 or higher
• 18th Edition – beneficial
• Experience with network systems, HMIs, servo systems
• Flexible character – happy to occasionally cover shifts if needed
• Ideal experience in food manufacturing but not essential
• Excellent problem solving skills and understanding of relevant codes & regulations
