Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Site-based Environmental Advisor supporting Sizewell C construction delivery. Collaborates with Tier 1 partners to ensure compliance, manage environmental and sustainability aspects, and drive performance across one of the UK’s most significant nuclear projects.

• Conducting site inspections and report environmental issues.
• Providing advice on legislation, permits, and planning constraints.
• Reviewing contractors’ environmental plans and RAMs for compliance.
• Supporting audits and self-assessments against regulations.
• Investigating incidents and recommend preventive actions.
• Escalating contractual risks appropriately.
• Ensuring adherence to consent orders and permits.
• Building collaborative relationships to achieve sustainability goals.

• Degree in environmental or related discipline.
• Experience in site-based environmental management.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and best practice.
• Familiarity with ISO
  14001 environmental management systems.
