Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview

Permanent Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer based in Sheffield.

Immediate start available subject to interview. Salary £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Full-time role of 38 hours per week on a shift rotation.

Shift Rotation:

• Week 1 – Monday to Thursday 6 am to 2 pm, Friday 6 am to 12 pm
• Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2 pm to 10 pm, Friday 12 pm to 6 pm

• Maintain all plant and equipment within the business areas on site.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance inspections, complete follow‑up actions and address issues of concern.
• Respond to equipment and facilities breakdowns, implement corrective actions and minimise downtime.
• Support new project implementation and equipment installation.
• Appraise equipment condition, manage refurbishment and drive continuous improvement activities.
• Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation, records and reporting.
• Work closely with the Head of Maintenance to ensure proper planning of maintenance work within the department.
• Contribute to and drive a continuous‑improvement culture within the department.

• Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Maintenance qualification.
• Multi‑skilled maintenance qualification is an advantage.
• Experience with PLC fault‑finding, DC motor controls and 3‑phase electrical equipment.
• In‑depth knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
• Engineering knowledge rooted in strong maintenance principles and failure prevention.
• Ability to plan effectively for both projects and maintenance activities.
