An exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer within Galliford Try’s Infrastructure Business. Working on a £15m Sheffield town improvements project, you will be responsible for setting out, engineering control and quality, and coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team.

• Participate in creating a safely working environment.
• Assist the Site Agent in planning and coordinating the project and resources.
• Write and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure implementation including correct engineering checks, hold points, inspections and tests.
• Manage the site engineering team, including mentoring junior members of staff and coordinating subcontractors.
• Ensure works are in accordance with Specification Highways Works (SHW), Project Works Information and drawings.
• Ensure accurate and timely records are kept, including site diaries, quality assurance documentation, photos, as‑built surveys, red‑line drawings and test results.
• Maintain constant communication with the commercial team, providing detailed information to allow for accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and assist in introducing new processes, techniques and innovations on site.

• NVQ Level 3 or higher.
• SMSTS and relevant CSCS card.
• Ability and desire to work safely and create a safe working environment.
• Advanced setting out techniques and ability to use Lebel and ADM with GPS knowledge preferred.
• Proven leadership and delegation skills.
