Réalis as a Nuclear Safety Engineer, where you will support nuclear and defence clients in delivering safe, compliant solutions to complex technical challenges. You’ll produce high‑quality nuclear safety work, balancing attention to detail with the wider regulatory and programme context, while contributing to a secure, low‑carbon energy future for the UK.
As a Nuclear Safety Engineer you will:
- Deliver nuclear safety cases, including identification, characterisation, assessment, authoring, and review.
- Work with clients across nuclear generation, nuclear new build, defence, fusion, and SMR sectors to support nuclear safety objectives.
- Support critical nuclear safety decision‑making throughout the design, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and assets.
- Influence client nuclear safety strategy and support nuclear site licence applications.
- Contribute to the development of a business pipeline and deliver nuclear safety technical presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
- Provide nuclear safety technical delivery to solve complex safety‑critical problems and communicate effective solutions to stakeholders.
- Contribute to and benefit from the wider Atkins
Réalis nuclear safety community, mentoring and developing junior engineers to strengthen organisational capability. - Take ownership of your nuclear safety technical and professional development across the breadth of our nuclear safety portfolio.
£36,000 – £50,000 per year, plus performance‑based rewards.
