Senior Quantity Surveyor – Water – Sheffield – £70k + Package

Are you a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you can genuinely influence project performance rather than simply report on it?

We are working with a growing civil engineering contractor delivering a substantial programme of water infrastructure projects throughout Yorkshire. With a healthy pipeline extending well into AMP8, they have built an enviable reputation for delivering complex schemes across the water sector under long-term frameworks.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clean and wastewater schemes ranging from £500k to £5m. Current and upcoming projects include chemical dosing installations, treatment plant upgrades, wastewater improvement works and renewable energy schemes, with over £25m of secured work already in delivery and additional packages due to commence throughout the year.

This role is ideally suited to someone who can operate autonomously and proactively manage the commercial function. Responsibilities will include overseeing change management and contractual compliance under NEC4 Option A and Option C contracts, issuing early warnings and compensation events, producing accurate forecasts and month-end reports, managing subcontract procurement and administering subcontract accounts. You will also support early contractor involvement activities, pricing investigation works and developing estimates for emerging schemes.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering or utilities, excellent NEC contract knowledge and the confidence to challenge, influence and support operational teams.
