As a Senior Digital Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering, managing and maintaining the core Digital Manufacturing systems, including PLM, CAD/CAM and MES. Additionally, supporting the integration and upkeep of auxiliary systems (tool management, simulation, 3D scanning, robotics) and acting as the primary OEM contact.
What you'll be doing
Leading digital integration across engineering, production planning and shop-floor execution using PLM, MES and auxiliary OT systems.
Delivering, managing and optimising the core OT platforms in line with the digital strategy and roadmap.
Developing efficient digital workflows and supporting creation of a robust digital thread across the product lifecycle.
Applying LEAN methodologies to reduce waste, improving flow and enhance factory performance.
Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality and IT to drive adoption of digital tools and improve data continuity.
Providing digital work instructions, visualisations and manufacturing simulations to support operators.
Assessing and introducing Industry 4.0 technologies including machine connectivity, real-time analytics and process automation.
Providing user training and first-line support for digital manufacturing systems across the business.
About You
In-depth knowledge and extensive experience managing PLM systems (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent).
Strong working experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Apriso, or bespoke MES solutions).
A good understanding of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, Creo, Mastercam).
An understanding of IT infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-security, safety-critical environment.
Demonstrated application of LEAN manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, VSM, Kaizen, standard work).
The Working Pattern
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00.
