What are we looking forThe Manufacturing Process Engineer (Final Assembly) is a key member of the Production Engineering team responsible for supporting the development, industrialisation, and continuous improvement of assembly processes across manufacturing areas.
The role focuses on delivering robust, repeatable, and scalable assembly processes that support industrialisation and high‑volume manufacturing. This includes development of assembly methods, support of both manual and automated assembly operations, and continuous improvement of production performance.
A key aspect of the role is working closely with Principal Engineers, Automation Engineers, Technicians, and Quality teams to translate manufacturing requirements into effective and stable assembly processes. The engineer will also contribute to process definition, troubleshooting, and optimisation activities during ramp‑up and production.
The role supports multiple assembly operations and plays a critical part in ensuring processes are stabilised, improved, and ready for scalable production use.
Responsibilities- Lead the industrialisation and ramp‑up of new assembly processes and equipment into production.
- Support the introduction and commissioning of new manufacturing machines and technologies.
- Ensure smooth transition of processes from development into stable production.
- Define, update, and optimise assembly methods, process flows, and standard operating procedures following equipment or process changes.
- Work closely with Automation Engineers and suppliers during equipment integration and commissioning phases (FAT/SAT).
- Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements driven by development feedback or production requirements.
- Support process validation activities to ensure new and modified processes meet quality and performance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives linked to process changes, new technologies, and industrialisation projects.
- Analyse production data to support ramp‑up performance and process stabilisation.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to ensure robust introduction of new processes and resolution of related issues.
