Product Process Technologist; Metals Industry

Reed Engineering are working with a leading Metals Engineering & Manufacturing company with a global research.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Product and Process Technologist to take ownership of the development, optimisation and commercialisation of new and existing processes within the business.

This is a shop-floor connected technical role combining process development, quality systems ownership, NDT oversight and close collaboration with operators, management, customers and research partners. You will play a key role in maintaining business continuity while driving innovation and growth into new and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimisation and review of production and inspection processes, including NDT
• Plan, execute and document trial work for new projects and product lines
• Working with operatives who provide chemical etching, pickling, passivating and Inspection of parts etc to use within high integrity sectors such as Aerospace, Energy, and Automotive, you will be offering technical support and process improvement for the products produced by the operatives.
• Implement and maintain a trials database to capture process learning, outcomes and agreed actions
