As part of your role you will be delivering labs, supporting other academic colleagues in their teaching and leading onoutreach and recruitment events. You will also be supporting students on their employability journey bysupervising placements and engaging with our industry partners to enhance our academic delivery offer. These are brand new rolestoour team and therefore you can really make an impact on how the role is delivered.
We are looking for people with a passion for Engineering to engage our students and provide excellent student experiences. You will be supported by the wider academic team in your role.
Applicants should have an awareness of the current trends, issues, and developments in electrical/electronic engineering both nationally and internationally, andwill be expected to demonstrate an applied understanding of current industry developments during the selection process.
You do not need previous experience of teaching, as this is a great opportunity for an applicant with practical industry experience orif you are a professional already teaching in an FEenvironment witha desire to inspire the next generation of Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineers.
We work closely with colleagues in the Power Electrical & Control Engineering Subject group on the delivery of the CEng accredited BEng/MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the BEng Electrical Engineering (top-up), and the BEng Mechatronics.
The subject group also leads the MSc Electrical & Electronic Engineering course and teaches extensively across the MSc Engineering portfolio as well as the Degree Apprenticeship Programs. We also make a significant contribution to other engineering BEng and MSc programmes in the department and the delivery of degreeapprenticeship courses across the University.
