Electric Studios is an important new music and cultural space for Sheffield.
Opening in Spring 2026, Electric Studios will incorporate a state-of-the-art music space, a collaborative arts and working space for young creatives (under 25). We also intend to host an eclectic mix of late-night club events, gigs, cultural events and everything in between.
Electric Group owns and operates some of the UK’s most iconic independent music venues, including Electric Brixton, NX Newcastle and Electric Bristol. We host hundreds of live shows, club nights and events each year, working with some of the best promoters, artists and creatives in the industry.
We’re passionate about great music, unforgettable live experiences and putting the artist and music fan front and centre in everything we do.
We’re looking for a Production / Tech Manager to join our growing team and to put their stamp onto Electric Studios ahead of launching our newest venue.
Key Responsibilities- All round knowledge of Lighting Systems
- Ability to operate Avolites / Grand Ma Lighting desks is essential
- Manage & develop the sound, Lighting &production to ensure that Electric Studios is operated to the highest standard
- Act as a point of contact for allproductionenquiries concerning the venue
- Manage external technical contractors & roster for shows
- Manage & advance all Shows by liaising with external management agents and promoters.
- Ensure that the servicing & repairs are done to ensure everything is in full working order
- Ensure that the venue is getting the best prices for all technical hired equipment
- Work within annual budgets for sound and Light equipment
- Operating of the venue on event nights
- Weekly meeting to review forthcoming events and agree requirements and cost for event production.
- Ensuring that all delegated tasks are completed fully and in a timely fashion.
- Review trading trends and act as required.
- Implement systems and control to improve reporting and efficiency across the business.
- Liaise and work closely with the Operations Manager for the Health & Safety of the venue
- Understand and comply with the licensing and legal aspects of running a busy live music venue
- Ensuring the proper and efficient maintenance of the premises and equipment
- Oversee administrative procedures for the venue
- Ensuring the venue runs efficiently from a technical perspective.
- As a key member of the management team your primary duty is to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Technical department
- 2-3 Years in a large capacity live music venue
- Experience of touring parties, stage design andproductionmanagement
- Understand the demands of stage management in the live environment
- Enthusiasm for the live events andproductionindustry
- Flexibility to work irregular hours (weekends/evenings/public holidays)
- Experience:
Venue Lighting &Production: 2 years (preferred)
