Group Financial Controller

Overview

Responsible for all internal and external financial accounting, including UK and European statutory accounts, monthly reporting, and reporting to external stakeholders. Leads audits, ESG/sustainability reporting, balance sheet and cashflow forecasting, and manages the Financial Accounting team.

• Lead the accounting and control functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor budgets and forecasts, providing strategic input for financial planning.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Ensure timely completion of audits and address any recommendations effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee all internal and external financial accounting processes

• ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Able to communicate and work at a senior level within a large, complex organisation
• Proven ability to lead a team effectively and develop their skills and competencies
• Experience in financial systems development and implementation

• Salary based on experience, but in the range of £90,000 to £110,000 GBP per annum.
