AGPart Time Bookkeeper

Orka Financial is working with an established business in Reading, that is looking to hire an experienced Part‑Time Bookkeeper to support a small, well‑established finance team.

This is a flexible role, ideal for someone seeking work‑life balance while contributing their expertise to a growing organisation. (20 hours)

• Maintain accurate day‑to‑day bookkeeping using Xero
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Process purchase and sales invoices
• Support VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC deadlines
• Assist with month‑end processes and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider finance team as required

• Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
• Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
• Good understanding of VAT and basic accounting principles
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
