Location: Leicestershire (Office-Based, 5 Days a Week)

: £200-275 per day umbrella rate Duration: 6-9 Months Our client, a prominent UK Online business, is seeking an Interim Commercial Finance Accountant to join their team due to internal team members transitioning onto a key project. This role will focus on supporting the performance of the UK Online business, specifically around sales, margins, and profitability analysis.

This is a high-impact commercial finance role that will support the trading performance of the UK Online business. You will be heavily involved in sales and margin forecasting, variance analysis, and providing key insights into P&L performance, with a strong focus on commercial review and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proactive, questioning mindset and experience of supporting profitability and financial performance.

• Conduct online sales and margin forecasting.
• Perform variance analysis vs forecast and prior periods.
• Analyse net margins, identifying trends and potential risks.
• Evaluate the impact of obsolescence and stock margins.
• Assess VAT cost impacts on margin.
• Provide commercial review of financial outputs
• Support performance insight on a key P&L line.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Proven experience in forecasting and variance analysis is essential
• Strong commercial interpretation skills.
• Proactive, analytical, and questioning approach.
• Experience in a commercially focused finance role within a large or plc business is essential.
• A strong ability to analyse and provide insights into sales, margin, and profitability.
