NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly respected and specialist Pensions-focused IFA firm in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys complex pensions work and wants to be part of a professional and collaborative financial planning environment.

Working closely with Advisers and Consultants, you will provide high-quality technical support across a broad range of pension and retirement planning cases, helping deliver tailored solutions and exceptional client outcomes.

The Role

• Preparing detailed suitability reports and recommendation letters
• Conducting technical research across pensions, investments and retirement planning
• Supporting Advisers with complex pension and decumulation cases
• Analysing pension arrangements, including defined contribution and defined benefit schemes
• Assisting with drawdown, pension transfer and retirement income planning cases
• Obtaining and reviewing provider information, illustrations and valuations
• Preparing client review documentation and technical analysis
• Liaising with providers, clients and internal teams where required
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FCA standards

About You

• Previous experience within a Paraplanner role is essential
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and estate planning
• Experience writing suitability reports within an IFA environment
• Level 4 Diploma would be desirable, but previous experience is more important
• Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills
• Strong written communication abilities
• Comfortable working within a collaborative team environment
• Experience with pension transfer or complex retirement planning work would be highly advantageous.
