Financial Accountant

Aptean is a fast growing yet well‑established global software company. We are expanding our Sheffield‑based EMEA Finance team to support Aptean’s continued growth in the UK and Europe. This role would suit a part‑qualified accountant with some experience in an accounting role and an appetite to learn as part of a fast‑paced, globally‑oriented environment.

• Posting of month‑end journals (prepayments, accruals, etc.).
• Coding of purchase invoices.
• Completion of monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items.
• Analysis of trends and financial performance data.
• Responsibility for a portfolio of entities to review and monitor on a monthly basis.
• Adherence to month‑end procedures and timescales in order to meet Group reporting commitments.
• Monitoring of certain entities’ expense invoices to ensure allocation of cash is completed in a timely manner.
• Support with Group and local Statutory audits.
• Ad‑hoc projects as required by management.

• In the mid‑to‑final stages of ACA or equivalent, although different levels of experience will be considered.
• Previous experience within a finance team.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Able to organize and prioritise own workload in order to meet deadlines.
• Adaptable individual with a flexible and positive mindset.
• Strong teamwork ethic.
• European language skills would be advantageous.
