The Role

Our pension schemes support thousands of current and former employees, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our Pensions Data Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy and integrity of pension data that underpins the administration of our pension schemes.
You'll work with colleagues, advisers and external partners to resolve complex data issues, support regulatory compliance and help deliver an exceptional service to our members. As a subject matter expert, you'll provide guidance and coaching across the wider Pensions Services function, helping drive continuous improvement while ensuring we meet our contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Ensure pension data is accurate, complete and maintained to the highest standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex pension and payroll data issues.
- Support the delivery of actuarial valuations by providing high-quality data to scheme advisers.
- Work with internal and external data providers to resolve interface and data quality issues.
- Help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Pensions Regulator data standards and Pension Dashboard obligations.
- Act as an escalation point for complex member queries and complaints.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to colleagues across Pensions Services.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, challenge existing ways of working and drive positive change.
- Support the effective planning and delivery of team workloads to meet service level agreements and customer expectations.
- Ensure established business processes and safe systems of work are followed.
- Significant experience working within pensions administration or pension data management.
- A strong understanding of UK pension arrangements, including Defined Benefit (DB), Career Average and Collective Defined Contribution schemes.
- Knowledge of HMRC and The Pensions Regulator requirements.
- Understanding of pension administration best practice and industry frameworks such as PASA.
- Strong intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience analysing and resolving complex pension data issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
- Strong planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- A track record of identifying and implementing service improvements.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English language and Mathematics (desirable).
- A professional pensions qualification, such as PMI, QPA, Certificate or Advanced Diploma in Pensions Administration, or equivalent (desirable).
