Internal Audit Manager

As an Internal Audit Manager in Sheffield, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations within the public sector by overseeing internal audit processes and ensuring compliance. Your work will help maintain transparency and strong financial practices within the organisation.

This role is within the public sector and based in Sheffield.

• Plan, execute and manage internal audit activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Identify risks and recommend improvements to internal controls and processes.
• Provide clear and concise reports on audit findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Support the organisation in achieving its strategic objectives through effective risk management.
• Keep up to date with changes in public sector regulations and standards.
• Lead or participate in special projects and investigations as required.
• Mentor and guide junior audit team members, fostering their professional growth.

• Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Experience in internal auditing, preferably within the public sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Proficiency in understanding and applying regulatory requirements.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.

• Salary between £45,000 and £50,000, dependent on the level of experience.
