Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant or transactional finance professional looking for a part-time role of around 25 hours per week. The business will also consider full-time applicants where the candidate is the right fit for the role.

The position is a genuine all-round accounts role, providing exposure across a broad range of finance responsibilities within a supportive and established team.

The Role
  • Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
  • Raising and processing invoices and credit notes
  • Matching, coding and processing invoices
  • Bank reconciliations and cash allocations
  • Processing payments and receipts
  • Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding debt
  • Reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts

    Assisting with month-end processes
  • Dealing with finance queries from customers and suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Providing general support to the wider finance team as required
About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an accounts or finance environment and be comfortable working across a range of transactional finance duties.

You will ideally have:
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role
  • Good understanding of transactional finance processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider finance team
  • A proactive and flexible approach to your work
