Planning Enforcement Officer

As a Planning Enforcement Officer you will be working an active caseload that will require you to undertake regular site visits (often at short notice and on occasion during unsociable hours when necessary and required) to accurately evaluate possible breaches of planning.

You will work with internal colleagues within the wider Planning Service and Council as well as external partners where relevant to ensure that enforcement matters are appropriately investigated and considered.

It will be your responsibility to ensure the Council's decisions on enforcement related matters are robust and can be defended at appeal and in the courts.

The role is based in Hertfordshire and will require office presence 3 days per week.

Standard working week is 37hrs, the rate is £43/hr (umbrella).

The initial contract will be 3 months but we expect it may extend significantly.
