About National Care Group

National Care Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of adult social care. We support adults with learning disabilities, mental health support needs, acquired brain injuries, autism, and complex needs to live meaningful, independent lives within their communities.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to respect, inclusion, and least-restrictive practice, and Positive Behaviour Support plays a vital role in making this happen.

The Regional Positive Behaviour Support Partner Role:

We are looking for an experienced and values-driven Regional Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Partner to join our team.

In this role, you will work across a defined region, partnering with services to embed high-quality PBS practice. You will support colleagues through coaching, training, and specialist guidance, helping to reduce restrictive practices and improve outcomes for the people we support.

About the role:

  • Partner with Registered Managers and service teams to promote best practice in Positive Behaviour Support, Active Support, Person-Centred Planning, Trauma-Informed Care, and related approaches.
  • Provide specialist coaching and mentoring to colleagues supporting people with complex behaviour and communication needs.
  • Support the development, implementation, and review of PBS plans and proactive support strategies.
  • Deliver and support PBS-related training and reflective practice across services where required.
  • Promote least-restrictive approaches and contribute to restraint reduction in line with Restraint Reduction Network principles.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, external professionals, families, and commissioners to ensure consistent, high-quality PBS practice.
  • Contribute to quality assurance activity, including reviewing practice, analysing data, and identifying themes and trends.
  • Keep up to date with current research, best practice, and legislation, sharing learning across the region.
  • Represent National Care Group positively at a regional level and build strong stakeholder relationships.

About you:

  • A recognised qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or Behaviour Analysis
  • You will be required to hold, or be willing to obtain, membership of the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis (UK-SBA).
  • At least 4 years’ experience in social care and behaviour support
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively
  • Confidence working autonomously while contributing positively to wider team objectives
  • Experience supporting, coaching, or guiding staff teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write clear reports and present data effectively
  • Confidence communicating sensitive information with empathy and professionalism
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment

Why Join National Care Group?

  • The opportunity to influence practice at a regional level
  • A values-driven organisation committed to PBS and restraint reduction
  • Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities
  • A collaborative and supportive working culture
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives, every day

Don’t meet every single requirement? We invite you to apply anyway!

At National Care Group, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic organisation. So, if you’re ready to embark on a journey where your potential outweighs your current skill set, we encourage you to apply. You might have the right values and attitude we are looking for!
