Overview

Are you passionate about advanced anaesthesia and looking to elevate your nursing career? This role offers you the chance to be part of a dedicated team that prides itself on delivering compassionate care, surgical excellence, and comprehensive rehabilitation for patients.

Role Responsibilities

As a key member of the anaesthesia team, you will support nursing and veterinary teams with all aspects of anaesthesia: creating surgical anaesthesia plans, troubleshooting during the anaesthetic where necessary, and assisting during surgery and recovery. You will work alongside an anaesthetist and a team of anaesthesia nurses, including a senior anaesthesia nurse, fostering a collaborative environment with nursing teams, patient care assistants, interns, vets, and other colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include delivering exceptional care and hands on involvement throughout the entire anaesthesia, surgical, and diagnostic process. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the training and integration of new staff, including regular CPR and crash training sessions.

Qualifications & Experience

While some experience in referral nursing is required, it is not necessary for applicants to have started or completed an anaesthesia certificate. This makes it an excellent stepping stone for those keen to specialise further in the field of anaesthesia. There is a CPD allowance and certificates are supported.

Benefits

In return for your dedication and expertise, you will enjoy a range of benefits including a workplace pension, life assurance, company sick pay, and access to an employee assistance programme. RCVS and VDS covered, 33-35 days holiday.

Hours & Working Conditions

Full and Part Time applicants considered. Full time 40 hours a week across 4 or 5 days and 1:4 weekends. No OOH.
