Position: Pharmacy Assistant - Stores / Reception

Permanent | Part Time - 17 hours

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team in a rewarding environment? The Pharmacy department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and help us deliver a top-quality service to patients.

Requirements
  • GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team focused, and able to complete tasks independently

Previous hospital experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Support the receipt, processing, and provision of pharmaceutical supplies in the Stores department.
  • Help with ward drug top-ups.
  • Work on the Dispensary Reception, receiving prescriptions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Handle busy enquiry lines
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient pharmacy service for patients
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
  • GCSE C or above in maths and English language or equivalent
  • GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy environment
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of stock control and need for confidentiality
  • Careful and accurate worker
  • Ability to work alone and as a member of team
  • Understanding of the need for confidentiality
