Optical Assistant

Salary: up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Full time | 37.5 hours per week – No Sundays

Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.

• Dispensing to a wide range of patients
• Carrying out pre‑screening tests confidently
• Frame styling, fittings, adjustments, and collections
• Advising on suitable lens and frame options
• Supporting reception and general admin duties
• Maintaining high standards of patient care throughout the journey

We’re seeking a confident and experienced Optical Assistant who brings the right mix of clinical knowledge, sales ability, and personality.

• Experience across both independent and multiple optical settings would be highly advantageous
• Strong dispensing and pre‑screening knowledge with confidence in delivering excellent patient care
• Naturally charismatic, with the ability to build instant rapport and deliver a first‑class customer experience
• Proactive and self‑motivated, with the initiative to stay busy and support both patient flow and business growth
