We are offering a joint role as a clinical educator and clinical pharmacist at Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SHPU) and the University of Sheffield. The position involves teaching within the MPharm program while maintaining clinical practice at SHPU.

• Design, develop and deliver high‑quality clinical practice‑based teaching across therapeutic disease states, with a focus on mental health.
• Assess students using OSCEs, written assessments and portfolios, provide academic tutoring and professional mentorship.
• Ensure safe and effective use of medicines throughout the trust.
• Provide specialist information and expert advice to multidisciplinary teams to maximise patient pharmaceutical care.
• Directly supervise and train clinical pharmacy staff and non‑clinical staff, service users and carers.
• Support the Chief Pharmacist in all aspects of the Pharmacy Service.
• Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to provide a holistic service.
• Participate in systems of clinical supervision and peer support.
• Oversee training for undergraduate pharmacists within the trust.

• Work with the Pharmacy team and the Head of Pharmacy Practice to design, develop, deliver and assess practice and clinical teaching within the MPharm program, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity and alignment with the university's teaching strategy.
• Develop and review assessments, ensuring quality assurance, delivery, marking and feedback.
• Support individual MPharm students as a professional mentor and academic tutor.
• Contribute to the development, coordination and quality assurance of experiential learning (placements) within the MPharm and at SHPU.
• Supervise student projects as appropriate.
• Participate in school admissions and outreach activities, including mandatory off‑hour events such as weekend interviews.
• Act ethically and serve as a role model for MPharm students.
• Maintain quality assurance processes and comply with regulatory frameworks, including Professional Regulatory Bodies such as the GPhC.
• Carry out additional duties commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
• Engage in continuing professional development to enhance teaching expertise.

• Responsible for clinical and other checks within the dispensary and clinical settings (inpatient and community).
• Act as a pharmacist under the 2012 Human Medicines Regulations and other statutory instruments.
• Develop and maintain relationships within multidisciplinary teams to ensure best pharmacological care plans.
• Support and, where appropriate, lead multidisciplinary teams in developing safe and effective medicines‑related practice.
• Participate in departmental drug information systems and answer queries arising from drug use within the trust.
• Work with individual service users, carers or groups to improve pharmacological outcomes.
• Provide relevant information on medicines to service users, carers and others in line with pharmacy service strategic aims.
• Complete mandatory and additional training as required by the trust.
• Drive service development initiatives.

• Teaching experience at level 7.
• Non‑medical prescriber or working towards one.
• Post‑graduate teaching qualification.
• Experience tutoring a trainee foundation professional.
• Member of RPS/CMHP, plus credentialled.

£57,528 to £64,750 a year, including on‑call and unsociable hours.
