Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you an early-career research professional who enjoys working collaboratively? We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a technician in cancer multi-omics in the School of Medicine and Population Health for someone with a passion for cancer immunotherapy research looking to use their skills in molecular and cellular biology to make an impact on patient lives. You will join Professor Sergio Rutella's team in our large and diverse academic Department of Clinical Medicine.

Your standing and approaches will further strengthen our strong international research profile and our reputation for novel, research-led teaching. You will work in a well-connected team with world-leading reputations in leukaemia immunobiology and immunotherapy. As this role requires expertise in cellular and molecular assays of immune function, it provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in cancer 'multi-omics' and computational biology.

This role offers you the opportunity to be at the cutting-edge of biomarker discovery research by playing a key part in several ongoing projects aiming to identify biomarkers of success and failure in cancer patients treated with investigational immunotherapies, including checkpoint inhibitors and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells. Educated to an Ordinary or Higher National Diploma in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent, you will possess experience in cellular and molecular assays of immune function.

As you will be also responsible for generating large cancer datasets, a general understanding of bulk and single-cell sequencing technologies would be an advantage. Ideally, you should also have experience in spatial biology platforms. If you are passionate about 'big data' and cancer 'multi-omics', then we would love to hear from you.
