Role – Occupational Health Coordinator

Contract - Permanent, Part Time - 14 hours per week

THE ROLE:

The Occupational Health Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Scot Rail’s Occupational Health and Wellbeing services. Working closely with managers, employees, and external Occupational Health providers, you will help build organisational capability by ensuring our Occupational Health, Health Surveillance, Case Management and Wellbeing programmes are delivered efficiently and effectively.

In this pivotal role, you will provide expert co-ordination, administrative support, and guidance on a wide range of workplace health matters. Using your understanding of Occupational Health processes, you will assist in maintaining compliance, supporting fitness-for-work assessments, and ensuring accurate management information is recorded and reported.

You will also co-ordinate the implementation of a new IT system, contributing to developing new systems and processes, ensuring smooth integration into day-to-day operations. By effectively analysing Occupational Health data and trends, you will support the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager, identify risks, improve processes, and support managers in maintaining a healthy and engaged workforce.

In addition, the Occupational Health Coordinator will support the Wellbeing Advisor delivery of key wellbeing initiatives and contribute to wider organisational projects linked to health, safety, and employee wellbeing. Your ability to manage sensitive and confidential information, co-ordinate multiple priorities, and work collaboratively will be essential to the success of this role.

What You Bring…

* Significant experience working within a healthcare or Occupational Health administration role, including experience co-ordinating health surveillance and wellbeing programmes whilst maintaining accurate health records in compliance with UK GDPR.

* Demonstrable experience working with OH systems including supporting new system implementation and software changes whilst producing statistical data and reports to support service monitoring and improvement.

* Effective administrative and organisational skills including experience scheduling appointments, diary and rota co-ordination, and providing senior management support.

* Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels whilst providing exceptional customer care to Scot Rail employees.

* A proactive approach to workload with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.

* Excellent IT skills with comprehensive experience using databases, Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, intranet platforms, and wider digital systems.

* HNC/SVQ in Administration or equivalent experience.

Reference Salary: £41,373 per annum pro rata
