Job summary

Fixed Term | 12 months | Maternity Leave Cover An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Neuro-Muscular Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Working within a supportive and compassionate multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children and young people with neuro-muscular conditions, delivering high-quality, family-centred care and supporting them to achieve meaningful outcomes.

You
  • We are looking for a skilled and motivated Physiotherapist with experience of working with children and young people with complex needs.
  • You will have a strong understanding of the impact of disability on children and families, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering family-centred care.
  • You will be compassionate, accountable, committed to excellence, and share the Trust's values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy HPC Registration Relevant post graduate courses Portfolio evidence of reflective practice
Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Neuromuscular Therapy Team Leader, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the specialist physiotherapy service for children and young people with neuromuscular conditions across the region
  • Manage a complex caseload, providing expert assessment, treatment and ongoing care
  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary neuromuscular team to deliver high-quality, family-centred care
  • Provide specialist advice and support to physiotherapists and other professionals across local and satellite clinics
  • Contribute to service development and the delivery of evidence-based best practice.
