Salary : £65,125 - £70,303
NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Services is seeking experienced senior hospital pharmacists to join our Staff Bank at Band 8A, providing flexible clinical, operational and leadership support across the Acute Pharmacy Service at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Our acute pharmacy department provides clinical and operational services across medicine, unscheduled care, ageing and health, surgery, critical care, women and children’s services and other specialist areas such as Oncology and Mental Health. Bank senior pharmacists will support priority areas where additional senior capacity or specialist expertise is required as directed by the Lead Pharmacists for Acute, Oncology and Mental Health.
The role will involve delivering advanced clinical pharmacy practice, providing expert medicines advice, supporting operational management and offering professional leadership to pharmacy teams. Depending on service requirements, this may include managing clinical risk, supporting staff, contributing to service delivery and providing senior cover within designated areas.
Applicants must hold an MPharm degree or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, be qualified independent prescribers and have substantial post-registration hospital pharmacy experience. We are particularly interested in pharmacists with advanced clinical knowledge, leadership experience and the flexibility to support a range of clinical and operational areas.
