Description:
We have an exciting opportunity Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurses to work with an NHS client of ours within Gloucestershire.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, within a community mental health setting. The post holder will work as a senior member of the team, supporting service users with severe and enduring mental health conditions and providing evidence-based interventions to promote recovery and social inclusion.
The role is set to begin ASAP, with the end date currently TBC. This role is offering an hourly rate which is £27 Per Hour. Please note that this position is inside IR35.
Job Role:- The post holder will provide assessment and evidence-based interventions to service users experiencing acute mental health and longer-term recovery needs.
- They will work as an integrated member of the community recovery team, acting as care coordinator where required and managing an allocated caseload.
- The post holder will undertake complex health assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and provide specialist care, education and advice to service users and carers.
- They will utilise the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and work in line with Trust policies to promote recovery and social inclusion.
- The post holder will undertake risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management plans, including working with service users who may be distressed or present with complex risks.
- They will support service users with medication management, including administering intramuscular depot medication where appropriate and monitoring for side effects.
- The post holder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies, providing specialist assessment and advice as required.
- They will maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to reports and documentation relating to patient care.
- The post holder will contribute to service development, quality initiatives, teaching and supporting junior members of the team.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNMH) with current NMC registration
- Demonstrable post-qualification experience within mental health or a related area
- Experience of community mental health nursing
- Extensive experience of assessment, including risk assessment and management
- Experience of providing evidence-based interventions
- Knowledge and experience of the Care Programme Approach (CPA)
- Knowledge of relevant mental health legislation and policies
- Ability to manage a caseload and work as a care coordinator
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work flexibly and travel independently around the locality as required.
