Responsibilities
We’re looking for a forward-thinking individual to join our Onboarding team during our peak season, ensuring every individual we hire is qualified, suitable and equipped to work safely with children.
You will share our commitment to safeguarding, following our safer recruitment policies to ensure individuals we appoint have relevant experience, qualifications, and we conduct the appropriate suitability and pre-employment checks prior to them starting work.
You’ll communicate regularly with students, teachers and sports coaches across a number of channels so you’ll need to work flexibly to maximise engagement time, be compelling with information and have an engaging video/phone manner to motivate individuals to complete all contract requirements.
You’ll need to be meticulous in processing disclosure checks, verifying qualifications and following up with referees and s to meet verification targets.

We recruit over 800 passionate individuals each year for seasonal roles on our own activity programmes (Kings Camps). With all candidates, our Recruitment Team showcase The Kings Factor. They do this through each & every interaction; whether meeting via University events, email enquiries or initial interview.
About YouWe’re looking for you to have experience in recruitment, HR, or interviewing, ideally with a proven track record of building strong relationships and engaging candidates. You’ll need to be organised, confident on the phone and in video calls, and comfortable managing your own workload while hitting targets and deadlines. A good level of IT skills and attention to detail are essential, and experience in processing checks, verifying qualifications, or working with candidates’ documentation would be highly advantageous.

- Salary: From £26,500 per annum, depending on experience.
- Pension: Enhanced pension with 5% employer contributions and Group Life Assurance Scheme.
- Holiday: Starting at 25 days per annum plus statutory holidays, rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service.
- Work Patterns: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, between 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility during peak demand times.
- Training: Includes a bespoke onboarding plan, market-leading Safeguarding training and a free disclosure check as part of safer recruitment.

The recruitment process consists of:
- Video screening call – an informal chat with one of our friendly team.
- In-person interview – at our Sheffield HQ with a couple of our team. Details of the interview specific to the role will be provided in advance.
