DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Wipro is looking for a Dev Ops Engineering Tech Lead to join our engineering community in Sheffield. As a Dev Ops Engineering Tech Lead, you will lead the development and delivery of cloud-native platforms, Open Shift as the primary cloud environment and AWS used as a supporting platform. You will work closely with Dev Ops, cloud, and application teams to build, automate, and support scalable container-based solutions that underpin critical services.

• Design, develop, and manage container platforms hosted primarily on a Private Cloud Platform, Open Shift
• Build and operate Open Shift Container Platform Virtualization (OCPV) environments
• Automate cloud and platform infrastructure using Ansible
• Develop and maintain Python automation for monitoring, integration, and tooling
• Collaborate with Dev Ops, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud platforms, containers, and automation
• Document platform designs, configurations, and engineering best practices

• Private Cloud
• Ansible playbooks and roles
• Python for automation and scripting
• CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
• Linux systems and networking fundamentals

• AWS services and hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Kubernetes and Open Shift command-line tools
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise Dev Ops teams
