Location:

Sheffield (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

• Define and own the storage automation roadmap, standards and reusable patterns.
• Provide governance over automation modules, code quality, security and compliance.
• Act as a technical authority, reviewing designs and guiding engineering teams.
• Drive adoption of Git Ops, IaC and modern automation practices.
• Own observability KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement of automation SLAs.
• Collaborate with platform, security and infrastructure stakeholders across the organisation.

• Expert-level experience with Ansible, Python and Terraform.
• Strong background in CI/CD integration and secrets management.
• Broad hands‑on knowledge of SAN, NAS, DPS and Pure Storage technologies.
• Proven ability to lead technically, mentor engineers and influence stakeholders.
• Experience operating at SME level within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Experience working within Open Shift or Kubernetes‑aligned platform teams.
• Strong focus on automation testing, reliability and observability.
