As a senior technical leader, you’ll define engineering standards, champion digital transformation, and ensure regulatory compliance across our core platforms.
Core Banking sits at the heart of HSBC’s operations, providing the essential platforms and services that power our retail and commercial banking activities across the United Kingdom. What you’ll do:- Lead engineering strategy, architecture, and platform convergence for UK Technology.
- Drive operational resilience, automation, and high-quality code delivery.
- Partner with business and product leaders to translate customer needs into technology solutions.
- Provide senior technical leadership on modernisation, cloud adoption, and API integration.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Extensive experience in Dev Ops/software engineering, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (especially Azure).
- Deep knowledge of coding languages (Python, C++, JavaScript, HTML).
- Senior leadership in large-scale, regulated financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of UK banking regulation, operational resilience, and risk management.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
