Role OverviewLead SMG’s UK Insight powerhouse – driving innovation, shaping strategy, and turning data into powerful stories that fuel growth across retail media and beyond.
As the Senior Insight Director, you will lead the UK central insight function, driving best‑in‑class measurement and delivering actionable insights across our retail media networks and agency, Capture. You’ll be at the forefront of turning complex data into strategic, future‑facing decisions that create real value for our clients and retail partners.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 20+ across retail media networks, defining priorities and driving team capability.
- Ensure accurate, timely campaign evaluations and champion operational excellence.
- Deliver insights that shape smarter investment strategies for clients and partners.
- Drive the evolution of plan‑apps and insight measurement frameworks across RMNs.
- Represent SMG in industry conversations on measurement, standardisation, and innovation.
- Identify future measurement trends and translate them into commercial opportunities.
- Proven leadership in insight, analytics, or strategy; ideally in retail, media or market research.
- Deep knowledge of campaign measurement and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strategic mindset with a bias for action and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Experience building & leading high‑performing, scalable teams.
- Strong communication & stakeholder influence skills.
- Understanding of data platforms, first‑party data, test & learn frameworks, and econometrics.
