Cyber Delivery Assurance Principal (Cyber Security Leadership)
Overview

Our client is seeking a Cyber Delivery Assurance Principal to lead cyber security assurance across large‑scale digital delivery programmes. This role is critical in ensuring that cyber security is embedded throughout product development and delivery, supporting secure, resilient, and compliant operations.

Working within a central digital and cyber function, you will partner with senior stakeholders across technology and business teams to align delivery with cyber risk appetite, while driving a proactive, security by design approach.

This is a senior leadership role suited to candidates with strong cyber expertise, strategic thinking capability, and experience operating in complex, regulated environments.

• Provide assurance that product delivery and ongoing maintenance align with cyber security standards and organisational risk appetite.
• Lead and develop a team of cyber assurance specialists, providing oversight, guidance, and direction.
• Forecast and manage cyber resource requirements across multiple delivery domains.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to embed cyber security into solution design and delivery.
• Influence and advise senior stakeholders on cyber risk, controls, and assurance strategies.
• Conduct threat and risk assessments across diverse technology environments, identifying and implementing mitigating controls.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative cyber security requirements.
• Drive the adoption of security by design principles across all products and services.
• Support continuous improvement of cyber assurance processes, frameworks, and practices.
• Provide leadership in aligning cyber initiatives with broader organisational strategy and objectives.

• Demonstrated experience in senior cyber security leadership roles, including team management.
• Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, controls, and risk management methodologies.
• Experience working in complex, regulated environments with evolving compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.
• Experience embedding cyber security into agile delivery environments.
• Broad technical knowledge across at least one domain (e.g. cloud security, network security, infrastructure security, security architecture, or application security).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
• Relevant cyber security certifications or qualifications are highly desirable.
