Analytics Engineer

What you will do

• You’ll help shape the direction of the data organization through the adoption of new best-in-class data sources, services, and tools.
• You’ll work across the organization to identify opportunities to improve decision making, designing and delivering solutions that make us smarter, quicker, and faster with every release.
• As you develop in the company, you’ll acquire an in-depth understanding of one or more areas of the business, acting as an advisor and partner and helping improve performance outcomes through the use of data and technology.
• You’ll help shape our unit and organisational KPIs and ensure the data and reporting is there to support them.
• You’ll raise the bar.
• You’ll support tech and product within our Customer Success squad.

• You have a strong academic background in computer science, information systems, engineering, machine learning, or another quantitative subject.
• You are an expert in SQL.
• You’ve got demonstrable experience developing data reporting and BI solutions in commercial environments and can shape requirements and work productively to achieve impact.
• You’ve got a keen eye for detail and are renowned for having high standards in your work.
• You can capture people’s attention and explain complex ideas, whether you’re presenting to senior leaders or writing documentation.
• You’re commercially-minded in engineering discussions and point out technical considerations during business meetings.
• You know how to lead and execute a BI project from requirements gathering to satisfactory delivery, communicating to stakeholders proactively and organising resources.

• Experience with Looker.
• Experience with MPPs such as Big Query and Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt for transformation.
• Experience with cloud services and infrastructure, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Comfortable working in an agile environment.
