Reporting to the Global IT Manager, you’ll support and improve Gripple’s applications, coordinate day-to-day delivery and manage two application developers. You’ll work within our wider global IT team, supporting colleagues across eight sites in Sheffield and Rotherham and contributing to agreed international projects.
The role combines practical applications work with a small people-management remit. It could suit an experienced applications analyst ready to step into team leadership, or an existing applications lead who enjoys staying hands-on.

The role:
Based at our Norfolk Bridge Works site, you will be reporting to and working with the Global IT Manager to support eight sites across Sheffield and Rotherham. Leading a small team and working as part of a global IT team of 20, your purpose will be to own key business systems including our ERP, CRM and PLM solutions as well as several key integrations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Investigating and resolving application issues, coordinating escalations with suppliers and keeping users informed through to resolution.
- Carrying out and coordinating application administration, including approved configuration and access changes, support records and documentation.
- Maintaining a clear, prioritised backlog in Azure Dev Ops, turning business requests into actionable requirements and tracking work through to completion.
- Organising application updates and releases with developers, business users and partners, ensuring testing, approvals and support documentation are complete.
- Working with colleagues to identify and deliver practical improvements to business processes and applications.
- Contributing to our global Dynamics 365 rollout by completing agreed activities, coordinating testing and preparing changes for ongoing support.
- Managing two application developers through regular one-to-ones, clear objectives, workload planning and development support.
