Role Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of change initiatives, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the agreed scope and quality standards. The role manages project teams, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and HSBC change frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, mobilisation, execution, and closure of projects across business and technology functions.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.
• Drive delivery governance and ensure compliance with HSBC project management standards and controls.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across multiple levels, including senior business and change leaders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party suppliers where applicable.
• Monitor and report project progress, financial performance, and delivery outcomes.
• Support business readiness activities to facilitate successful implementation and adoption.
• Ensure benefits are clearly defined, tracked, and realised post-implementation.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Knowledge & Experience

• Proven project delivery experience within financial services or a complex regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and governance processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to resolve delivery challenges and manage competing priorities.
• Relevant project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications) desirable.
