HR Director at Taylor Emmet Solicitors (Chartered Fellow of CIPD)
To provide comprehensive paralegal support to the Property Litigation team, assisting with the management of contentious property matters from inception to resolution. The role involves legal research, case preparation, document management, and client liaison to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and in accordance with firm and regulatory standards.
- Deliver high standards of client care and a first‑class customer experience.
- Work commercially which is reflected in your case management and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Achieve and deliver key outcomes both for the client and the firm.
- Assist with a caseload of property litigation matters under supervision, including:
- Residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes
- Possession claims and eviction proceedings
- Rent arrears recovery
- Lease disputes and forfeiture
- Boundary disputes and easements
- Trespass and adverse possession matters
- Draft routine legal documents including:
- Letters of claim and responses
- Court forms and applications
- Witness statements (initial drafts)
- Chronologies and case summaries
- Conduct legal research and prepare briefing notes for fee earners.
- Assist with issuing and progressing claims in the County Court, High Court and Tribunal
- Prepare court bundles in accordance with court rules and deadlines.
- Monitor key dates, limitation periods, and court directions.
- Liaise with court staff, counsel, and process servers as required.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and gathering information.
- Communicate with opponents, managing agents, surveyors, and counsel.
- Attend client meetings and take detailed attendance notes where required.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case management system records.
- Ensure files are compliant with regulatory and firm requirements.
- Assist with billing, time recording, and cost schedules.
- Support the team with file opening, conflict checks, and document management.
Previous Property Litigation experience is essential.
