Employment Lawyer EMEA, Leading Financial Services Firm

The Client:

A leading global financial services firm is looking for a 5+ PQE employment lawyer to join their legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing expert legal advice on employment law matters.
• Key focus on non-contentious and contentious employment law related matters across EMEA, including recruitment, performance management, terminations, restrictive covenants, immigration, etc.
• Supporting with contractual matters.
• Work closely with People Operations teams to develop and improve employment processes and procedures.
• Opportunities to serve as a legal advisor on a wide variety of business initiatives and transactions across the region both inside and outside the employment law area, with a strong focus on London/EMEA.
• Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments.
• Managing and liaising with external counsel when required.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will be a 4+ PQE employment lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Prior experience advising on non-contentious and contentious matters would be advantageous for the role.
• Financial services experience is not a prerequisite; all backgrounds welcome.
• Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
