This is a key role within a long-standing UK road haulage and logistics operator, responsible for supporting safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across a busy operational fleet and depot network. You'll work closely with operational leaders to ensure standards are not only met, but consistently improved across day‑to‑day transport activities.

• Take ownership of health, safety and environmental standards across transport, warehousing, and workshop operations
• Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, operator licence requirements, and industry standards
• Lead investigations, audits, inspections and corrective actions across site and fleet activity
• Work closely with drivers, workshop teams, and depot management to embed practical, behaviour‑led safety standards
• Support accident reduction, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business

• Direct impact on safety performance across a busy, operational logistics environment
• Close working relationship with senior leadership in a hands‑on, visible role

• Salary of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE, plus benefits

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety or HSE role within logistics, transport, warehousing, or a similar operational environment
• Strong understanding of compliance, fleet operations, and risk management in a transport setting
• Comfortable working with operational teams, drivers, and workshop environments
• Practical, hands‑on approach with the ability to influence behaviour on site
