Buyer – Sheffield – Full Time | Permanent

Our Client is seeking an ambitious and proactive Buyer to join their Procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement or supply chain professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials that keep their manufacturing operations running efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers and driving supplier performance
  • Negotiating pricing and reviewing annual supplier agreements
  • Building strong supplier relationships to support production requirements
  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability
  • Managing purchase orders and rescheduling requirements through the MRP system
  • Resolving supplier delivery issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Monitoring and reporting on key supplier KPIs including OTIF and RFT
  • Conducting supplier visits and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate procurement and supplier data within ERP systems
  • Collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams
  • Providing delivery updates and professional customer communication when required
What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience within Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience using ERP and MRP systems
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • Aerospace or Aviation industry experience
