Import/Export Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Import/Export Coordinator to support international shipping operations and ensure compliance with UK customs regulations. This role is responsible for managing export documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and supporting the smooth movement of goods into and out of the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and review export reporting ensuring customs compliance.
Liaise with freight forwarders to obtain proof of export and customs documentation.
Maintain accurate export records and documentation for goods shipped internationally.
Ensure all import and export activities comply with HMRC requirements.
Provide support with import clearance instructions for customs brokers and freight forwarding partners when required.
Take ownership of shipping invoices and support cost-effective freight operations.
Coordinate with internal departments and external logistics providers to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
Skills & Experience Required

Knowledge of import/export processes, customs regulations, and international shipping documentation.
Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, or logistics providers.
Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately under pressure.
