SF Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing business to recruit a Procurement Manager. This is a senior role with responsibility for leading the Purchasing, Materials and Subcontract Supply functions and managing the wider Supply Chain team.

Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will play a key role in shaping the Procurement and Supply Chain strategy, improving supplier performance and ensuring the business achieves the right balance across cost, quality and delivery.

The Role

You will take overall responsibility for Procurement and Supply Chain activity across the business, including:
-Leading and developing the Supply Chain team.
-Developing the Procurement and Supply Chain strategy in line with wider business objectives.
-Managing purchasing, materials and subcontract supply.
-Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
-Driving improvements across cost, quality and delivery.
-Monitoring supplier and departmental KPIs and addressing performance issues.
-Identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
-Working closely with Production and Commercial teams to improve productivity and performance.
-Implementing Procurement best practice, processes and procedures.
-Managing supply chain risks and resolving issues before they impact the business.

About You
-Strong Purchasing and Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
-Previous experience leading and developing a team.
-Strong supplier management, negotiation and commercial skills.
-Experience developing and improving Procurement/Supply Chain processes.
-A proven track record of successfully delivering projects and improvements.
-Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
-A proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.

This would suit an experienced Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager looking for a senior role where they can have real ownership of the function and make an impact
