Hours:

Days-based role with early finish on Fridays Day-to-day of the role:

Lead and manage the purchasing, supply chain, and subcontract procurement functions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to achieve optimal quality, cost, delivery, and service performance.
Oversee supply chain operations, monitoring KPIs and implementing improvements to drive efficiency, productivity, and performance.
Set departmental strategy, goals, and priorities, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, and project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, embedding processes and best practices across the supply chain function.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team through performance management, recruitment, training, and succession planning.
Collaborate closely with operational and commercial teams to support business growth and customer requirements.
Identify risks and challenges proactively, presenting practical, commercially focused solutions and recommendations.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience within purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong track record of managing supplier performance, cost control, and operational improvement initiatives.
Experience leading and developing teams, with excellent people management and communication skills.
Demonstrable success in project planning, implementation, and delivering business improvements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a commercial mindset.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
CIPS qualification or equivalent professional procurement qualification is desirable.
