£13.21/hour, equivalent to £27,476.80 pro rata (based on a 40 hour working week)
21 hours per week (14 hours Caretaking, 7 hours Cleaning)
Monday to Friday, between 3pm-7:15pm
Caretaking all year round, Cleaning during Term-Time only
South West Norse is a FM provider delivering support services to businesses across cleaning and facilities management disciplines across the region. We currently have a great opportunity for a Caretaker / Cleaner to join our established team based at Aveton Gifford Primary School on a permanent, part-time basis.
Responsibilities- Caretaker duties: work on-site under the direction of an area supervisor, ensuring the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to contractual standards. Manage equipment and products used in the role, including inventory and safe storage.
- Cleaner duties: carry out day-to-day routine and ad-hoc cleaning services as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor, ensuring necessary standards are met and operating in line with Client and Norse Policies and Procedures.
- Contribute to site management and support general maintenance issues as well as some minor handyman duties.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous, but Norse offers full training and support for enthusiastic individuals if you can demonstrate:
- Capable of delivering a high level of customer service
- Confident working both on your own and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with the client
- Comfortable engaging with members of the public
- Any knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to the role would be an advantage
