Caretaker (ICM) – Backshift Role

Salary: £14,934 - £15,861 per annum

Service Care Solutions is recruiting a caretaker to join an established and supportive site team at the Innovation Centre Medway. This permanent locum position involves a backshift pattern (1:00pm - 5:30pm). This hands‑on role is ideal for someone practical, reliable and customer‑focused who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

• Carry out general caretaking duties to maintain a clean, safe and well‑presented building
• Support contractors and assist with day‑to‑day site operations
• Set up meeting rooms and event spaces (furniture, equipment and light cleaning)
• Work closely with the morning caretaker, including daily handovers
• Undertake health & safety responsibilities including Fire Warden duties
• Act as a First Aider (training provided)
• Secure the building at the end of each shift

• Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook) and willingness to learn new systems
• Experience working with customers or the public
• Previous experience in soft FM (cleaning, waste management, general upkeep)
• Willingness to undertake fire safety and evacuation training
